Superb preserving ideas. I'm thinking of what to do to my mint......I think I'll blitz some and freeze and then use for mint tea in winter and make some vinegar I think. Thanks

Holly and Cheryl- glad you like the post!

Cheryl- anise hyssop is a great medicinal plant! I also make tea with it all the time. For the honey, I used just the flowers, and chopped them, too...

I've just discovered your blog and love it. This is a wonderful post! I am going to try all of these recipes. We live on a lake and have planted native grasses and wildflowers as a lakescape to help keep erosion to a minimum. One variety we've planted is Anise Hyssop. I adore the fragrance but have never thought of using it as an herb. Is it the flower that I would pick or the leaves?

love this idea- i've made herbal vinegars, honeys and oils, but not salt. I will now! I have LOTS of basil to use, so tonight it's pesto time and salt too. Thank you:)
